So I've been playing the Victoria 2 demo and I've been enjoying it immensely, as someone who never really "got" the original game. For those that don't know, Victoria 2 is a Grand Strategy Game like HOI or Europa Universalis. Where Europa Universalis is more focused on discovery and exploration, HOI more on warfare, Victoria 2 is more about domestic politics and economics. I know to many people that sounds boring, but honestly I think domestic politicking and economics is a very underutilized...

So my dad has taken a new IT job. Thing is, it's in Iraq, and he worries he's going to go crazy. The man is not a fan of deserts, he isn't even a fan of the war, but that's an entirely different subject. Thing is, he's going to need something to play in the long hours where he's on base and has nothing to do. So I loaded up Half-life 2 Deathmatch and all the "team" servers were weird roleplaying games. Not something I really care to do right now. So I don't know where to get my fix of team fps action. Is there a game that's not too expensive, that people still play, that's fun? Battlefield 2 and s...

Developers, I'd appreciate it if Impulse saved my birthday so that I didn't have to enter it every time I want to drool over Dragon Age: Origins.

Found In: Abandonia.com Genre: Action. Cost: $0 Worth It?: Yes. Ah, Night Raid. This is one of those shareware game you used to play as a kid, where you'd only do the first few levels but you'd do them over and over again. Frankly, even back then, the game was too dumb to consider shelling out $10 or so for. The premise is simple: you are out in the middle of desert inside an adobe hut with a rapid-fire cannon mounted on top of it. Planes and helicopters would ...
